The IASA was established in 2005 with an academic offering of Pre-Kindergarten through First grade. From 2005-2010 additional grade levels were incorporated. The IASA obtained accreditation by the ADvancED SACS-CASI in 2011. For the 2013-2014 school year, the academic offering was expanded to include Daycare and Pre-Kindergarten. The academic offering for the 2014-2015 school year will be inclusive of Daycare, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten through Sixth grade. The school has experienced experiential growth. The enrollment began with a student body of 40 students in 2005 and expanded to 125 students for the 2013-2014 school year. The enrollment for the 2014-2015 school year is expected at 140 students.
In order to monitor IASA academic progress and to maintain adherent to Texas state established guidelines, IASA participates in the Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) state exam and utilizes the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) assessment as an in-school benchmarking tool. For the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 school years, IASA’s student pass rate on the STAR exam was 98% each year.
